I had to replace my original copy since I loaned it to someone newly diagnosed and lol they refused to return it . Can't be irritated since it is an awesome cookbook with lots of yummy recipes which are easy to make.

Holly Cleggs Trim & Terrific Diabetic Cooking This is a terffic cookbook! I have prepared about a dozen recipes from this cookbook so far and have found only one recipe my husband and I did not care for. All the other recipes were delicious and I would certainly prepare them again and again. The recipes are easy to prepare with ingredients I have on hand or are easy to find at the grocery store. My husband who is diabetic has certainy enjoyed my new found love of cooking.I would highly recommend this cookbook to anyone - diabetic or not.

This cookbook is one of my very favorites. The recipes are flavorful and delicious, very quick and easy to make with items that are commonly stocked in my pantry. It is hard to believe that the recipes are suitable for diabetic diets and very healthy because they taste so delicious. My husband and I enjoyed the recipes so much that I have shared them with friends who are not diabetic and I even bought an additional copy as a gift for my daughter who is not on any restricted diet but enjoys delicious healthy food that is quick and easy to prepare. I highly recommend this cookbook.

We are not diabetic, but looking for a healthier way to cook some of our favorites and discovered this wonderful cookbook. Between myself, my 2 sisters and my brother - we each have a copy of this cookbook - and have made just about every recipe in it. Even the most picky eaters in our family have no complaints. I have given it as a gift and recommended it to a friend recently diagnosed with Diabetes. The recipes are easy to understand and make. A great book for beginning cooks to expand their cooking skills.

I purchased this book because my son's girlfriend is diabetic and I wanted to serve her healthy food for her diet. We fell in love with these recipes. The ingredients are common ingredients you'll probably have on hand, no special shopping for something you've never heard of. The meals go together quickly, simply and taste delicious. I purchased a second copy of this cookbook to give away as a gift. I don't go out of my way to be in the kitchen, but I do have a family and they must eat, so why not serve healthy, simple meals that are delicious to boot? I think you'll like this cookbook.

My daughter was diagnosed last October with Type 1 diabetes and I've had to revise a lot of my cooking. It has been a challenge, especially having to configure calorie and carb counts in everything I cook. This cookbook is very good in my opinion. Healthy recipes, all nutritional stats included, and oh, my goodness, the Chicken and Sausage Gumbo rocks!! I'm definitely pleased with it.

One of the best cookbooks ever. The oatmeal pancakes are the best. We make them over and over. Everyone raves about them. All of the recipes are fabulous. The only criticism I would make would be the portion sizes for one serving are very tiny making it look like all of the recipes are low fat, low carb etc. They are not and diabetic's obviously have to watch both of those. But it is a great cookbook.

Purchased as a gift for a friend who's husband had been diagnosed with diabetes. Friend let me know that the book has helped her come up with recipes for the family and has gotten her husbands condition under control.

I had the pleasure of taking the number theory class with Prof. Martin Weissman and we used this book. What struck me about this book was the visual and the illustrative nature of it. I like to get a couple different books every time I take a class and comparatively learn from the textbooks I have at hand. In my experience, there's no book of this nature.Pedagogically, it is brilliantly done. The concepts are presented in a way that is intuitive and not only taught me a lot about number theory that I internalized well but also taught me how to teach, present and learn concepts within mathematics and robotics (my primary field of study). Interesting questions and puzzle exercises are posited that will make you develop an inner exigence of wanting to learn a concept. In my past experience, that is where the best learning happens. No words will do justice to what this book is. I've been using amazon prime for a long time and this is my first review. This is an exceptional book and I highly recommend it.

I used this book for an introductory number theory course, where we covered unique factorization, congruences, and ended off at quadratic reciprocity. The book does its job well for what it is. However, sometimes the emphasis on visualizing number theory left arguments a bit sour. More likely than not, it has to do with my style of learning, but there was something about it that left them feeling not rigorous. The book has great exposition, but the specific style of visualization isn't necessarily my cup of tea. If you're a much more visual learner, then this book is for you! Otherwise, I'd recommend Ireland and Rosen if you've seen any abstract algebra or even Hardy and Wright.

Great Book

A truly top notch math book. It covers the basics wonderfully, and motivates the later material with gorgeous illustrations and clear descriptions. The historical notes are a nice touch.Really, the care and attention to detail that went into this book are apparent on every page. If you only buy one book on mathematics this year, make it An Illustrated Theory of Numbers.
