If you love Lurlene McDanial you’ll love this book! It will make you cry!! Ugh I love this series so much!

I love this book. Well I love everything that Lurlene Mcdaniel writes this is no exception. I love it. If you love reading you will love this.

This is a beautiful story of a young girl whose life is changed by her time on a missions trip to Africa. It's a very touching story and written well so that you identify with her and feel what she feels. I couldn't put it down!

ANGEL OF MERCY is yet another heartwarming book for teens by Lurlene McDaniel, and even though you can probably read this book in less than three hours, its still amazing.ANGEL OF MERCY is about eighteen-year-old Heather Barlow - she's the daughter of two rich Miami plastic surgeons, and she feels that her lifestyle is too luxurious. To "make up" for her lifestyle, she decides to go to Africa with a mission group where she can make a real difference in someone else's life. On the trip, she makes tons of new friends - Ian, Ingrid, Boyce, and so many others - that feel the same way that she does. Heather isn't prepared for everything she faces, though, and when tragedy strikes, she has to rely on her new friends and her faith to guide her through it.McDaniel has created (yet another) winning book with ANGEL OF MERCY. It's nice to see that she strayed from her usual topics of kids with lukemia, diabetes, and other various diseases. This book also has a more religious plot outline, which is different from most of her books. As I said, ANGEL OF MERCY is a heartwarming story that teens will enjoy.Overall grade - A

Woah is a very good word to discribe this book. I could hardly find myself able to put it down. This book touched me deeply. Most of Lurlene's books touch me, but none more then this one. The reality in this book is so awakening. This book has motivated me to try my best to help the world in some way, in anyway. It made me understand how fortunate I am to be born in a weathy country and made me grateful for what I have, and not worry about what I want. This book made me cry and left me wanting more. I love how much these people trust in the Lord and how they trust if they put their problems with him that they will be solved, therefore it also gave me more religious hope. I love this book and implore you to read it. I'm sure you will love it also.

This is one of the best books that I have ever read by this author. I loved that Heather had so much conpassion for others. Even though the ending of this book did not end the way I would have liked, it made me realize that life is not something to take for granted. Every time I read a book by Lurlene McDaniel I look at my ife more closely. I remember that my life isnt as hard as it seems, and there are so many people that are in need. This is a must read book that will truly touch your soul and really make you think.

This book is not one of Lurlene McDaniel's best. The plot was quite predictable and I didn't really like the characters, especially Ian who I didn't like at all, because he was so religious and always going on about God, which didn't really mean anything. Heather was also a very flat character. The plot was good but the bad characters spoiled it. However, the sequel is much better and I could identify with Amber much more then with Heather, so you could just skip this one. You won't be missing much.

The book Angel of Mercy by Lurlene McDaniel is about a girl whose parents are doctors. Throughout her whole life they have told her about their experiences in the peace corp. Now that she is eighteen, she decides that it is her turn to do something. She hears about a ship called the Mercy ship. It travels to east Africa and helps people in the country of Uganda. She decides to go on the ship to help other people. She will miss her first semester of college and will have to leave everything back in Florida. She boards a plane that will take her to London, where the ship leaves. When she arrives in London she has no idea what lies ahead of her. She doesn't realize all of the problems that people in Uganda have. As she boards the ship, she meets a nice guy from Scotland. He has been on the ship once before and loves Uganda. It takes two months to get to Uganda and in that time Heather, the girl, and Ian, the guy, become great friends. Many struggles on the ship make them grow closer together, and they eventually become lovers. Throughout the trip, Ian has been telling Heather how bad it really is. She has no idea what it's going to be like. They dock in a port that is close to Uganda. From there they board buses and take a two hour trip a city in central Uganda. They travel from city to city helping the people from Uganda. Some people have traveled for months just to see them. Heather is overwhelmed by all of the people and their problems. One night she tells herself that she can be stronger and from then on she is really helpful and is enjoying herself a lot. One day, she is on her lunch break when a mother brings her baby over to the fence. She is pleading with Heather to take her baby because it is really sick. Heather tells her that she will go get help but instead the mother tosses her over the fence. Heather looked down at the baby and it died in her arms. After that, she never felt the same. She always thought to herself that she could have saved the baby. When they go into their last city Ian and her are assigned to a foster home. The family is really nice and they love to be there. There is one child that has a problem. She was brought to the foster home right after her mother died. She has never recovered from it and won't come out from underneath a cot. Heather spends her whole time trying to get the girl to come. The girl had a sister who had a problem with her face. The foster family thinks that if they can bring the sister, the girl might c0ome out. Ian decides to go to the country where the sister is and rescue her. From there, the book becomes very sad. I can't give away the ending so you will have to read the book. I think that this book is very good. The story made you feel like you were right there with Heather. I think that the best thing about the book is that it had a real meaning to it. It was based upon something that could really happen to us and it wasn't one of those fantasy books. This book is so good, that I can't wait until the companion book comes out. I think that everyone should read this book because it touches your heart so much that you want to jump in the book and help them.
