What a powerful way to communicate the gospel and glorify Him! I often say that our intimacy with God determines the impact of our lives. From these photographs, I can see how profoundly Michael loves the Lord and how he has dedicated his life to Him. I know that God will use Michael s work to draw many people to Jesus and open their eyes to their need for the Savior. We have been blessed as Michael shared these images and his testimony, vision and ministry with our congregation at First Baptist Atlanta and with our In Touch Ministries staff. About the Author
After working for a leading clothing company, Michael Belk channeled his experience and fashion knowledge along with his passion for photography into a successful advertising boutique. For more than 30 years, he created images for many of the leading names in fashion. His work appeared in publications that included Vogue, GQ and Vanity Fair. Along the way, Michael began hearing God ask, What are you doing with all that I gave you? Are you using it only for yourself or are you sharing it with others? Eventually the voice grew so loud that he decided to answer the question. Although Journeys with the Messiah began as a project, it soon became Michael's personal journey, a journey to understand Jesus messages in ways I never imagined. And soon, he suspected that God was sending him on a mission to share his discoveries with everyone. Now, his unique images and their simple, yet powerful and thought-provoking, messages are touching hearts around the world.

Knowing the story behind Michael Belk's choice is important--of,course, it is included. He spent a lot of time in Italy choosing the man to be his model for Jesus in his photographs which are amazing in their Biblical background. The author's explanation of each parable as presented in each picture is very interesting.
Incredible book and photography! Well-written to the art, each piece really makes you stop and think about what Jesus was REALLY like[God and Servant] and that we are supposed to be emulating Him if we claim to be His followers. Love it and highly recommend whether you are a Christian or not!
