Absolutely the most comprehensive guide to Costa Rica and this book saved us lots of parking hassle (with people who pretend to be parking attendants) and gave a great bit of info about all the areas and we were super comfortable visiting several parts of the country after reading this and this book was in the car with us at all times for quick access if we had questions about certain areas and a must have if you are traveling to Costa Rica and want to explore this beautiful country and the attention to detail, photographs, and organization with this guide was perfect in helping me identify locations that most interested me, hidden gems, and ideal times of year to visit different regions in Costa Rica. I’d recommend using this travel guide to grasp all that Costa Rica has to offer and plan your hostel/eco-lodge/resort stays based on regions that most appeal to you and the educational depth of this book around culture, politics and history far exceeded my expectations and not only did it leave me more prepared, it left me more excited for my trip and totally had great info and overall a wonderful read for our trip and costa Rica is so humid but i enjoy my trip there and i recommend to anyone who wants to visit Costa Rica but is unsure what areas are best suited for the activities they want to do. Seriously, just buy it but it can and will be handy!
Good and helpful guide, gives anything you need to travel in Costa Rica, includes step by step instructions with full photography, really very helpful guide that you should buy if you want to visit Costa Rica.
I think that this is a fairly mediocre travel guide. It explains some stuff in detail, but it doesn't really outline how to plan a trip, especially if you're more interested in the Caribbean side than the Pacific side of Costa Rica.
The guide is a little dated, but the background information was very informative and interesting!
Useable guide, some great tips. Maps were not of great value.
3rd Costa Rica nook this one surpassed all the others well written great pictures and texture of the pages outstanding
