We got this for my father in law for fathers day, since he likes to take day trips. The categories are great, it seems very organized and includes pictures and descriptions. We would recommend this.

This book has no maps, no pictures, no logical order or much information. It is hard to imagine a travel guide could be so bad.

Good book and some great ideas for trips while in Wisconsin

A really wonderful selection of things to do in Wisconsin. I like the way they are organized, and the colored tabs on the sides of the page make it very easy to get to the section of interest.

Great book. I like how it is sectioned by interests such as waterfalls, museums, geology, cheese houses etc. Can't wait to explore some of these places!

I've purchased all volumes up to 22 and the TV show has just about caught up to wear I am in the novels. These books are friggen awesome. I don't read much and my buddy lent me VOL 1 after he knew I liked the show. Well, I burned through the first one and then just went on a tear buying 4 volumes at a time...the price is pretty good for what you get out of these. $9-$15 is the range I've paid per novel, I'm not sure why they aren't the same but anyways, I keep buying them none the less. The story was written before the TV Show and the show follows the story but there is some differences. The written story is more violent and graphic then the tv show but the tv show does a decent job of sticking with main ideas. I've noticed that certain plot things that happen in the book also happen in the show but there is a unique twist like a different character it happens to or something like that. Which makes reading these volumes great cuz I have some idea of where the story is going (after having watched all tv episodes) but there are still surprises. If you like the TV show and haven't read these, give it a try and you will get a whole new experience of the Walking Dead story. I'm putting this same review under every volume I've purchased (1-22) so people can see it. go buy these!

This volume picks up where the last left off, and doesn't go much further, but is equally compelling and suspenseful. The main issues are institutional - can civil society be rebuilt after an apocalypse, and how will the survivors deal with criminality and aggression? - and personal: can Rick Grimes still be our hero as he continues to unwind mentally and make increasingly bad decisions? What are his limits, and has he become a danger to the survival of others? And if Rick snaps completely, how many of his old friends will stick by him? The roamers are still outside the gates, but the real danger seems to be within... Once again, I'm eagerly waiting for the next volume.PS - I'm starting to wonder how long zombies can exist without any food. Seems like their complete decay and re-death would be inevitable, since entropy exists regardless of spooky viruses or horror-story conventions. Rick and company have settled in to the community behind the walls near Washington, D.C., although it was made clear at the end of the previous Volume that Rick was finding it hard to adjust to this comfortable, safe existence. His spirit is somewhat restless, but it is based on a fear of people, and how easily they can screw even the best of things up. Abraham validates that perspective with an experience he has beyond the fences of the community, and throughout this volume, we get to see that perhaps this place is too good to be true in some ways, and that people are the same where ever you go and no matter how safe and secure you feel you are.The same antsy sense of things that Rick has with this place is a sense I was getting about it as well. Certainly, you would hope to find a place where you can finally relax and rest and feel safe behind thick walls, but at the same time, as a reader, you look for things to go wrong in this screwed up world, expecting them to, as Rick does here. And by the end of this volume, Rick's fears are confirmed, but once again, as has happened in the past, he loses control for a time before settling back into the role of reluctant hero and reluctant leader once again. I think it is at those times that Rick, and TWD, are at their very best.I felt the last volume was a bit draggy in spots, and while this one has its lulls as well, the story picks up the pace once again, especially near the end, with promises of interesting things to come in volume 14.

Book 13 of the series doesn't disappoint. The writing remains solid despite this volume being somewhat less action packed (which means a lot more falls on Kirkman's writing). His previous style shows through as the action starts to escalate around Rick's new home near Washington D.C., but don't worry you'll still be good and surprised at moments. The threat builds from inside and outside the city with mini-episodic-climaxes (as the individual issues each try to end with some form of climax or cliffhanger).Overall, this was a solid book which focuses on certain characters starting to show cracks after being in this new zombie infested world for almost two years, story world time. The series has always been character driven and since they are "safe" in their new homes this volume really zooms in on a couple characters (some of the old group and some new townies) to show the difference between the ones who have been safe and the old group that has been on the road for over 18 months before finding a haven.Read it, and wait for 14...

The members of Rick's group settle into their new roles in the Alexandria Safe-Zone, and Rick, as constable, tries to make the place safer by stopping a dangerous man inside the community. But, could Rick and his battle-scarred compatriots be too far gone to live a peaceful life again?

Great condition, my mom loved it!

I purchase these as reward for my son passing his reading quizzes. He reads them in no time as soon as he gets them. Was wonderful up to vol 16 where I could download them directly to my kindle. Now vol 17 on up will not download to my first generation kindle, so I have to buy the paperback ones. Does not make me a very happy camper.

This is a good story arch and shows Rick and the rest of the Atlanta survivors' struggle to return to civilized life. Great read.

For some reason this material is hard to digest even though it's written in English. I wish we had another textbook for my International Business class. I must say this book is cheaper than most textbooks, but it doesn't save me time as I find myself re-reading paragraphs over and over to understand the concepts. If the phrase "time is money" is true, then I would rather pay more for a book that's written in layman's terms. Also, this book defends outsourcing to other countries, which is another subject all together. I gave it 2 stars because the book is economical; otherwise, one star.I'm adding another star because each chapter shares a story of a person (usually a student) who studied and/or worked abroad. The students share their experiences, perspectives, and give sound advice. As a person thinking about studying abroad, I value that input. The (small) investment alone is worth it.

The book is simple, good format, and easy to understand. It did exactly its job as a textbook teaching about international business.There are a lot of information provided in the book, and yet it was very organized / structured for students to learn the information. If I could change one thing about this textbook, it would have to be the size of this book a bit too big to carry around and read. An ebook or Kindle version would be perfect1

I absolutely loved reading this book, I read this book for an International Business class that I took in community college. It covers basically all the questions that you can think of regarding International Business. I would recommend this book to anyone that is in International Business, anyone that has to communicate with people outside of their region.

Easy to read in the field using red flashlight and waterproof so dew won't damage it.

This is a classic star finder dial, like the kind you had at summer camp. This is a smaller version, about the size of your hand. It comes in a protective plastic sleeve. You can easily put this in a pack so you can add some star gazing to your camping or hiking trips.

Made of plastic with a brass connector, you never have to worry about it getting wet. Thought it might be too small, but it is just the right size for my binocular case. A genuine hillbilly goto system...I'm sure it will give me years of good service.

We've used this a few times, but can't wait to use it more during the winter when we sit outside around our fire pit! A great size, and pretty sturdy.

Daughter needed this for her Astronomy course and i could not find it anywhere! So grateful to find it here. Awesome price and it was exactly what she needed.

I've only tried one recipe from this book, Curried Kabocha Coconut Soup (didn't have access to kabocha so I used acorn squash). I personally didn't fall head over heels for it, but the folks that did said that it reminded them of lobster bisque. I will make it again, but I will cut down the 3/4 cup of dried shrimp to 1/4, was just a little fishy for my taste. The gal that owns the local Asian market flipped through the book and thought all the recipes looked solid. Can't wait to try another one!Something to think of before buying this book...do you have access to the ingredients? This isn't American knock-off Thai food. This is good, hearty, authentic Thai. Right from home! If you're not the adventurous type this may not be the book for you. All of the ethnic ingredients are available here on Amazon. But I see a lot of reviewers leaving bad reviews because the ingredients for any given cook book are not available at the standard market. Simple, healthy food. I love Thai Curries. I've been spending a fortune on boxed curries from Marian's Kitchen. With this book, I can do it all from scratch. This book doesn't disappoint!

Just finished reading this book. It is a great starter book if you want to learn Thai cooking. All the basics are here, curry pastes, broth recipes, and Thai favourites like Pad Thai.There is also commentary by the author about the history of Thai food and a thorough section on ingredients.

Finally, I can make thai food at home. The biggest drawback is there aren't pictures to accompany each recipe. That makes me sad, but I also thought that "throw everything into a slow cooker" is supposed to be easy, and these recipes are AMAZING, frankly, but it really has you make the curry from scratch which involves a plethora of spices and requires me to wash a second appliance and a few more dishes. That being said, when I have time to be a purist, I enjoy having the option of making my own curry.I've made some criticisms here, but the fact is my 5 stars are for the recipes and not about my convenience. I've only made 5 recipes so far but I'm probably going to use this book up pretty quickly. Everything has tasted delicious, even when my dear non-cooking husband took a crack at it.

This cookbook is ideal for someone who is interested in trying Thai food.This book teaches you how to prepare your food before you put it in the slower cooker.Its great for those who have a very busy live and what Thai food but dont want to pay the cost of the restuarants.It has recipes for soups and Noodles and curry.It also has a recipes for spring rolls.This book also tells some history also.It is a great book for everyone who knows how to cook or that dont know how to cook.These recipes are for the whole family and are healthy.I will be making my own thai food for now on.

As we have bern expanding our international slow cooker repiroire, Thai cuisine is a wonderful addition. The vegetarian dishes are excellent and we love the introduction to new flavors at home. We've stocked our Thai pantry with procucts from Amazon and local grocers too.

I love me some Asian food but my fiancé is super picky. I hate cooking so we came to an agreement that he has to “widen his palate” in exchange for my time in the kitchen. Using a slow cooker is my favorite “hands-off” cooking approach so this cookbook was super awesome to me!I like the ability to be able to substitute where necessary and still getting a very similarly delicious meal. The recipes are written out very well and the background info about Thai food, info about the ingredients you’re using and just the little helpful hints are great for beginner “chefs” like me.
